You can solve the Rubik's cube too. Just be patient and read the instructions below.

This is an easy method to solve the 3x3 Rubik's Cube also known as Hungarian horror. I am sure you will soon be showing off your Rubik's cube skills after learning how to crack this puzzle , especially with the help of the 5 algorithms I will be teaching you today.

Before you guys learn how to solve the rubik's cube you must first learn the Rubik's Cube Notations. The Rubik's Cube notations are given below and feel free to check them out before you continue.

## How to Solve the Rubik's Cube?

There are more than 100 algorithms for solving a 3x3x3 Rubik's cube , but you din't need to learn all of them because they are used by experts to solve the Rubik's cube faster . Here are a few steps followed by the four algorithms you require to solve the Rubik's cube. These formulas may not make you the fastest solver but i am sure it will definitely go a long way in helping you to crack this Hungarian horror.

#### Step 1: White Cross

Start with the white center .Hold it facing up and the try to solve the white edges as shown below.The steps are quite intuitive so i am sure most of you will be able to finish this white cross. If you still find it difficult click here for a dummy's guide.

#### Step 2 : Solving the White Face.

The main objective of this step is to fit the remaining white corners without messing up the whit cross.Once again this step is intuitive , so you should be able to solve up till here without any algorithms.For those who are impatient the following pictures will help you. Continue filling each corner till you get all white corners correct like the picture below.

**Step 3 : Solving the Second Layer.**

Till this step the procedures were intuitive. But starting from this step it is tough to continue solving the cube unless you know these algorithms. With this step we will solve the first two layers ( F2L ) . All you need to do is fill the corresponding edge pieces in the second layer. Hopefully this pictures should help you . Do the same thing inverted for case 2

Now continue doing this algorithm till every second layer edge is inserted correctly. Once you finish this step the Rubik's cube should look like this.

#### Step 4 : Yellow Cross

The objective of this step is to make a cross from the bottom colour yellow. To do this hold the cube such that the yellow side is facing up. Now you may have gotten just a yellow centre , or you might have got a straight line or maybe an L shape . If you were lucky you might have even got the cross. (Ignore the yellow corners and look just the edges.)

: If you got just the yellow centre hold the cube anyway you like (As long as the yellow side faces up) and do this algorithm__CASE 1__**F R U R' U' F'**. Now you must have got either case 2 or 3.

: If you got a yellow L shape hold the cube as shown below and do the previous formula (F R U R' U' F') . Now you must have got the straight yellow line. Follow the instructions given under case 3 to get the required yellow cross.__CASE 2__

: If you got the straight line , hold the rubik's cube as shown below and use the same formula ( F R U R' U' F' ) . Congrats you have got the yellow cross.__CASE 3__

#### Step 5 : Solving the Yellow Face

Now that you have completed step 4 you must have got any one of these cases. Don't worry I will tell you one algorithm which can help you solve the yellow side.

Case 3 Is the one u want to get |

Hold the cube with the yellow side facing up and as shown above and perform the algorithm

Now that you have done this formula , observe the forthcoming pattern.

**Case 1**: Now that you did the formula , you must have got case 6. Do the formula again after it is held just like shown above and you get case 3.**Case 2**: Now that you did the formula , you must have got case 5. Do the formula again after it is held just like shown above and you get case 3.**Case 4**: In Case 4 just rotate do the formula from the left side and you get case 3.

**Case 5**: Hold the cube exactly as shown above and presto you get case 3 .

**Case 6**: Hold the cube exactly as shown above and presto you get case 3.

**: Do the algorithm and you can see all the yellow pieces coming together.**

*NOTE : If you get another case just do the same formula and you get one of these cases. Dont worry , all you need to learn for this step is this algorithm.*#### Step 5 : Aligning the corners.

For this step you need to learn your 4th formula that is

**R' F R' B2 R F' R' B2 R2 .**
Hold the yellow face up and keep the correct corners to the opposite side as shown below before using the algorithm.(If no corner is aligned properly , hold the cube anyway you like as long as yellow faces up , when you do so the corners of one colour will be aligned properly.

#### Step 6 : Finishing the cube

Now all you need to do is fill the 4/3 edge pieces. Now hold the yellow face up and keep the solved colour(if no colour is solved keep any side) opposite to you and try the algorithm

If the cube is solved , you are lucky or else repeat the same procedure once or twice.
